  Coaker's Walk  
   

The Coaker's Walk was named after Lt. Coaker, who prepared the map of Kodai. It is situated about a kilometre from the lake, which runs along a steep slope on the southern side of the Kodai. Beautiful views of the plains can be seen from here

 
   
 
  Pillar Rocks  
   

There are three boulders within the city limits, standing shoulder - to - shoulder vertically measuring to a height of about 122 metres. It presents an out of the world site.

 
   
 
  Bryant Chettiar Park  
   

Bryant Park, named after the Forest officer who designed and laid it out in 1980, is situated on the lake. It has a wide selection of flowers and ferns, and residents oftern “shop” here for special varieties if plants. This is where the flower and vegetable show is held in May; enormous cabbages, carrots and potatoes from neighbouring villages compete for the prizes. Being so centrally located, Bryant Park is a hot tourist spot, especially on weekends and during the season. Chettiar Park, on the way to the Kurinji Temple, is more quiet.

 
   
 
  Silver Cascade  
   

Silver Cascade is perhaps the most beautiful and popular waterfall in Kodaikanal. Even before you see it, you can hear it from a distance. A mighty yet gentle presence, this is a good place to spend a few quiet hours


 
   
 
  Flora and Fauna Museum  
   

The Flora and Fauna Museum about 5.6 Kms from the lake, is maintained by the Sacred Heart College at Shembaganur. A Theological Seminary was founded in 1895. It is devoted to the archaeological remains and the flora and fauna of the hills. One of the best Orchidoriums in the country with more than 300 species is also located here. A Spanish Father Ugarthe, contributed his major collections to the Museum.  A wide ranging collection of birds classified  into ground birds, water birds, tree birds and  large high flying birds such as Black Eagle, Bengal Vulture, Honey Buzzard, Crested Hawk-Eagle.

 
     
  Astrophysical Laboratory  
   

 

This laboratory was built in 1889. This is situated on the highest point in this area. This laboratory is 3km’s from Kodai Lake. This place has also got a small Museum, which is only opened on Friday.

 
     
  Kodai Lake  
   

The Kodaikanal Lake covers 24 hectares and is surrounded by a 5 km long road. Built by Sir Vere Henry Levinge (1819-1885), the collector of Madurai, who retired to Kodaikanal in 1863, the boating on the lake and pony rides around it are popular holiday activities
