  Naina Peak  
   

The fall is about 11 km. from Dharamshala town, known for its old temple, a fresh water spring, water falls and slate quarries. This spot can be easily accessed by road. The Bhagsunag fall is one of the major attractions of Mcleodganj.

 
   
  Snow View  
   

Snow view as the name suggests offers an indescribably beautiful and breath-taking picture of the glittering snows of Himalayas. It is the most easily accessible hilltop and is 2.5 kms away from Nainital. On the top one can have a breathtaking view of Northern Himalyan ranges. There are strong binoculars from which one can see Nanda Devi (7817 m), which is second highest mountain in India. On the way from Nainital to Snow View there is a small Gadhan Kunkyop Ling Gompa of the Gelupka order.

 
   
 
  Dorothy's Seat  
   

Four kilometres to the west of the lake lies Dorothy's seat, also known as Tiffin Top. Here a seat was built by an Englishman named Kellet in the memory of his wife, who was killed in an air crash. The spot offers a partial view of Nainital.

 
   
 
  Naini Lake  
   

Naini Lake or Naini Taal, the picturesque blue green lake is located in the district of Nainital. It is from this lake that the city of Nainital, the beautiful settlement by the lake, derives its name.

 
   
  Sat Tal  
   

On the way from Nainital to Bhimtal is a group of seven lakes called the Sattal. Nature has really provided this place beauty in abundance. There is government Bunglow where you can spend the night. Taxis and buses are available to Sattal from Nainital. It is 22 Km from Nainital.

 
   
  Bhim Tal  
   

Bhimtal, situated at a distance of 22kms from Nainital, is named after one of the Pandav brothers called Bhim. The largest lake in the district of Nainital, Bhim Tal is 1701 metres by 265 metres, 265 metres longer than Naini Lake. The lake known for its magnificent majesty is situated at an altitude of 1371.6 metres above sea level. Bhim Tal has an island, to the north-east side, which is an exquisite gem in the middle of the lake. It is situated within the range of temple bells, which have been chiming for the last 300 years in the 17th century edifice, beneath the shadow of the towering mountain rushing precipitously down to the emerald green lake. The island is only 91.4 metres from the shore.

 
   
 
  Naukuchiya Tal  
   

The Naukuchiya Tal, 27 km from Nainital is another place worth visiting. The nine corners of the Lake lend it the name. It is the picture perfect spot to visit far from the madding crowds in Nainital.
